Arp 2600 speakers are a go!

Just got in the samples of the 2600 speakers. Tested them in a 2600. They're perfect!!!
There might be one set up on eBay soon, and the rest should be along in late April/early May.

Iron in the fire: Arp 2600 speakers

We've got a very good lead on replacement speakers for 2600's. As in brand-new, drop-in replacements.
No word on when they'll be available or how much they'll be.

Oh yeah... we're also going to put up ebay auctions soon. We didn't want to, but we unexpectedly lost our main source of income, so we must do what we must do to live.

Don't ask me how to do this, 'cause it's really hard to explain, and I don't even know the whole process.

This is a shot of the bottom of an Arp 2600 keyboard. You can see the 2600 in the background. :)

I rarely work on these types of keyboards alone, as I'm more used to the Minimoog type.

Inside a 2600

This is what the inside of a 2600 looks like. You can mostly see the power supply and the transformer.

Arp 2600, very custom

This is a custom Arp 2600 that has all sorts of happy shit in it. I don't know what all of this means, quite honestly, but I'm sure y'all do. :)

This 2600 has had the following mods or additions:

• Internal (modified Paia) Midi converter with eight cv's and eight gates


• Adjustable threshold Comparator provides a gate output for the envelope follower.


• Envelope follower Decoupling switch. Provides DC capability.


• CMS Blue Meanie Filter. A great Moog -24/db ladder filter clone


• John Blacet Divider module. Divides pulses and audio.


• Key CV attenuator to VCF and expanded Envelope times (Half / Normal /x5)


• Envelope generator LEDs that grow and dim in brightness to their outputs.


• AR only gate input jack (not shown)


• Electronic switch Gate input jack and clock rate LED


• Reverb Bypass switch and 1/4" output jacks


• Three spring reverb tank


• Improved reverb circuitry


• Better power supply


• All black Arp Odyssey slider caps

Arp 2600: First in a Series

Here's an Arp 2600. I love 2600's, and most of the time they're my favorite synth ever.
Zawinul did some amazing things with a 2600.
This particular model belongs to an English bloke with the initials J.O. The keyboard cable is a custom thang done years ago.
