BUCHLA!!!!!

I get to play with this today... as well as the one in the background, hidden near where I put the "asb" mark.

Thought for the night...

Had fun fumbling around with a Buchla, but I've got a LOT to learn before I can actually make decent sounds out of it!

At least I continued my tradition of finding the noise source. ;)

Always double check your work...

My better half discovered that a Buchla 192 module he's restoring had one wire on a jack that was never soldered. He took this pic with a very cool USB microscope we have. :)

Thought for the day:
While I have the knowledge and tools required to replace components on a circuit board, my limited experience means it requires a bit of effort to do correctly.

My Living Room, Summer, 2008

...What you don't see are the two Arp 2600's, the Ody, and the Minimoog. :)

Metal panel Mini AND Buchlas.... squee!

The person who sent me this wishes to remain anonymous. If I had a metal panel Minimoog that's 36 years old and a couple of Buchlas, I'd want to remain anonymous, too! :)

You never forget your first....

...Buchla. This is the first one I saw:

It belongs to UC Irvine, along with a Buchla 200.

Happy Halloween, everyone!

Mmmmm.....Buchla!!!!

I *love* Buchlas. Something about 'em makes me warm & tingly.

Here's a shot of a rather big 200 system that was put in a custom cabinet.
Last I heard, this resides in a studio in the San Fernando Valley.
